Me and Mine (January 2015)

So, this year hasn't started off how I would have liked it too at all, in fact, January has been one of the toughest months we've ever had. There's a lot which has contributed to it of which I won't (can't) go in to on here, but as well as personal issues, we've also all been poorly.

We moved house on the 8 January and the Sunday before moving, I started with really bad stomach pains and they were so bad that I ended up having to leave work early on two days. On the day we actually got the keys to our new house, I ended up being taken to hospital by a paramedic in a first response car and stayed there for a few hours after being put on a drip to get fluids into me, they did blood tests and an x-ray but concluded it was just a viral infection. Not how I planned to spend moving day. The virus left me very weak, I had little energy and was exhausted after the smallest of tasks. Needless to say, this made moving very difficult and we're still not unpacked. We couldn't have done with without the help of my in-law's who helped out with Alfie and my Mum and Sister who helped finish the packing on the Friday and did countless trips from the old house to the new house - Thank you!

For this month's me and mine I wanted to take a picture of us outside our new house. Already, I feel really happy here and it feels like home. However, after having such a terribly stressful month, today was the only opportunity I've had to take the picture but Alfie just didn't want to play ball - it wasn't helped by the fact that we live opposite a horses field and he wanted to go and stroke the horses. As it was getting late and he still needed lunch and a sleep, we left it thinking we'd be back before dark. Which of course we weren't because we got stuck in football traffic.

So this months Me and Mine, is a last minute job, at home on the couch - but after this month, it the only place I want to be with my two faves!

  2. Thanks Emma, honestly, I've never been so glad to see the back of a month as I am January. Hoping for better things for the rest of the year! I actually really like this photo despite it being VERY last minute and it taking ages to bribe the small one to sit still haha! xx
